About Us

About Us

A brief history on the owner. Gian was first introduced to construction in 2001 as a day laborer pushing a broom for a local GC. From there he went into painting, followed by carpentry, followed by tile setting, etc. He was soon picked up by a large tract home builder and put into a management position. During that time he directed the building of over 600 homes before the recession hit in 2008.

From 2008 to 2017 he shifted to commercial work. The client focus was apartment communities and property management companies. Exterior re clads, tenant improvements, and apartment reno's were abundant. In 2017 the family moved from Seattle to Austin and he entered the residential market again. Gian still likes to push a broom on all his job sites. He says it allows him to get his eyes on every part of the job. If there's something he doesn't like, he gets it fixed, or he fixes it himself. It’s that work ethic that brings us to today. There’s no job too small, there’s no problem too big.

What makes us different,

What makes us different,

Most people don't realize that for a small fee anyone in Texas can be a general contractor. That makes it hard to know if the person you hire actually knows what they are doing. Are One originated in Seattle, where all trades had to be licensed professionals. Every job was built to code under heavy scrutiny. That has not changed now that we're in Austin.
